Questions we answer plainly

What we track, what we estimate, and what we will never claim to know.

01

Do you track every event and exhibitor?

No — no one does, including organizers. We track the largest structured record of physical commercial presence that exists, and every number is framed as share of tracked activity. We publish coverage notes per category as they’re measured.

02

A company attended an event but doesn’t show in your data. Is your data wrong?

Absence in WHR means “no participation record,” never “was not present.” We show the difference explicitly.

03

Where does the data come from?

Public and partner sources around events: organizer listings, event agendas and directories, public announcements, and signals participants publish themselves — accumulated and cross-checked over 12 years.

04

Are your attendance numbers real counts?

They’re estimates, labelled as estimates, built from historical signals — never presented as turnstile counts. Scores that depend on them say so.

05

Does WHR provide contact data?

Our prospecting product does, in the way ZoomInfo, Apollo and Clay do — business contact data for outbound. That’s a distinct product with its own terms. The intelligence product doesn’t touch it. Presence tracking, scores and market intelligence work entirely at company and event level. People appear only in already-public professional roles — a speaker listed on a published agenda — and no contact details are attached to any of it. If you buy tracking or intelligence, you are not buying a contact database, and nothing in those products depends on one.

06

Can organizers pay to improve their event’s scores?

No. The intelligence side is deliberately separated from any marketing business. Scores are computed from records, and the methodology is public. That separation is why WHR exists.

07

How fresh is the data?

Continuously updated — new editions, new participations, and corrections flow in daily; tracked entities are monitored for the full term of tracking.

08

What does tracking mean?

Search is unlimited. Opening a record uses a credit. Tracking an entity puts it under monitoring for a year — every new participation, market entry, or change surfaces to you. Saved trackers watch whole markets.

09

What’s a “nil result” worth?

A lot — “no mapped presence” is a delivered finding about strategy. The moment they first appear anywhere, you’re alerted.

10

How accurate are the scores?

Scores are relative (within category), carry confidence indicators, and are validated against independent references before publication. Where data is thin, we show a dash and the reason — not a guess.

11

Can my company correct its own data?

Yes — companies can claim their profile, confirm their event calendar, and correct their own family/division mapping. No company can edit a competitor’s.

12

Is there an API?

Yes — the Presence Graph is available as API and MCP for your own tools and AI agents. The data door at Data & API covers it.
